Nutritionist/dietitian in Boucherville, Longueuil, Brossard, Sainte-Julie, and Saint-Bruno in the South Shore of Montreal, I have been working in my practice for 20 years. I founded NutriSimple in 2010 with nutritionist Marise Charron. NutriSimple has over 70 clinics in Quebec and also provides teleconsultations. Moreover, I am the president of M Nutrition, which has over 40 clinics specialized in eating disorders. For this approach to reflect cutting-edge scientific research, NutriSimple provides the services of a scientific advisor.
As a graduate in Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from McGill University and a member of the Ordre professionnel des diététistes du Québec (OPDQ), I used to work as an administrator for the OPDQ.
I have written nine books about nutrition, and my recent book talks about food and ADHD. I have written on weight management, gluten-free diets, arthritis, and inflammation in the collection KNOW WHAT TO EAT of Modus publishing company. I have also written publications about happiness, memory, and diabetes. Many of my publications rose to bestseller status, and four of them were translated into English. The book about diabetes and memory won the best health-conscious cookbook collection in Canada at the 2016 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. I also am a food columnist sought by the media. I even worked as a nutritionist for actors who needed to transform their body for a role, and Hollywood actor Gerard Butler is one of them.
For many years, I have been particularly interested in the relationship between food and the brain, especially attention and memory. I teach my clients how to eat by focusing their effort on nutritional quality rather than calories. This technique will lead them to long-term results and simple, daily management. I have a healthy relationship with food, and I try to help my clients move away from diet culture to start and follow a healthy diet for the rest of their lives.
It is essential to offer my clients real solutions to a balanced diet, whether they encounter challenges related to obesity, diabetes, arthritis, gastrointestinal disturbances, or food disorders. As a mother of three and coming from a European family, the pleasure of eating and celebration are a priority to me. You have to love every bite and enjoy life!
