Recette NutriSimple Caramelized peach parfait, oats & Greek yogurt

A delicious and balanced breakfast showcasing juicy, in-season Ontario peaches. This parfait combines protein, fibre, and good carbohydrates — perfect for starting the day off right!

Ingredients

     

    • 1 ripe, fragrant peach, sliced
    • 30 to 35 g (⅓ cup) rolled oats
    • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
    • 175 g (¾ cup) plain Greek yogurt (2% M.F.)

Preparation

In a small frying pan, sauté the peach slices, oat flakes, cinnamon, and maple syrup over medium heat. Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes, until the peaches are tender and golden, and the oats become slightly crispy. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a glass or small jar, place half of the Greek yogurt, then half of the peach and oat mixture. Repeat the layers for a nice visual effect.

Enjoy immediately to take advantage of the hot-cold contrast.

N.B. Keeps for up to 24 hours in the refrigerator, perfect for busy mornings!

  • For an omega-3 bonus, add a tablespoon of chia seeds or ground flaxseed.
  • For a change, replace the peaches with apples or pears.
