A simple, naturally sweet and comforting cake, made with basic ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F). Line a rectangular baking dish with parchment paper.
Place the dates in a bowl and pour in the hot milk. Let stand for 30 minutes to soften the dates.
In a blender, purée the dates and milk until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a bowl. Add the oat flour, baking powder and chocolate chips. Mix until homogeneous.
Pour the mixture into the dish and smooth the surface. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the centre is set.
Let cool slightly, cut and enjoy.
N.B. Keeps for 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator.

Enjoy 1 square as is or with a source of protein (cheese, Greek yogurt) for more satiety at snack time.
For a chocolate-free version, replace the chips with chopped nuts.
